When It’s Time to Renew your Business License…

The City of Lakewood Community & Economic Redevelopment Department—Business Licensing Services is pleased to announce that beginning on January 1, 2016  our Online Renewal System started accepting payments for renewal of business licenses. Customers may use a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) to pay business license renewal fees online.

NOTE: Official filing of an online renewal depends on our receipt of all fees charged to your credit card.  Delinquent fees are charged 30 days after the expiration date.

You cannot renew online if:

  • Your name has changed since your last renewal.
  • You have a suspended or revoked license.
  • Your license has expired for an extended period of time (longer than 1 year).

After you renew: Print the confirmation screen for your records. Please allow up to 14 business days, after completing the online renewal process, to receive your new business license. Business licenses are non-transferrable so if you are new owner of this business please contact Business Licensing Services at (253) 512-2261 as a new application will be required.
